Proposed 2025 PH national budget, submitted to lower house

Department of Budget and Management secretary Amenah F. Pangandaman submits the Fiscal Year 2025 National Expenditure Program to House of Representatives speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez.



The Department of Budget and Management officially submitted its proposed 2025 national budget to the House of Representatives at Romualdez Hall, Batasang Pambansa today, 29 July 2024.

 

With the theme “Agenda for Prosperity: Fulfilling the Needs and Aspirations of the Filipino People”, the Php6.352-trillion Fiscal Year 2025 National Expenditure Program aims to advance holistic development and inclusivity in the country, with the following sectors as priority for allocation:

 

1. education with Php977.6 billion;

2. public works with Php900 billion;

3. health with Php297.6 billion;

4. interior and local government with Php278.4 billion;

5. national defense with Php256.1 billion;

6. social welfare with Php230.1 billion;

7. agriculture with Php211.3 billion;

8. transportation with Php180.9 billion; and

9. justice with Php104.2 billion.

 

This year’s proposed national fund is 10.1% up from the present year’s Php5.768 trillion enacted budget.
