Manila Cleanup Drive Rolls

Cleanup operations in various streets across Philippine capital city Manila began today, 30 June 2025, hours before mayor-elect Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso sits as the locality’s top official at 12:00 noon.

Some areas in the city that have undergone tidying were Tondo, San Andres Bukid, the vicinity of Manila North Cemetery, and the famous merchandise reservoir Divisoria.

The neatening mission include the dislodgment of selling activities on the pavement, removal of vehicles parked on the roadside, and relocation of street-dwellers, among others.

During his campaign, Moreno vowed to address the massive garbage that proliferated in different areas in Manila.

Moreno served as the city’s 23rd mayor from 2019 to 2022 prior to vying for presidency in 2022. During this mayoral stint, he carried out widespread cleanup operations in the locality, for which he obtained the public’s broad recognition and support.
