United States (US) president Donald Trump, during his speech at the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Summit in The Hague, the Netherlands on 25 June 2025 Philippine time, confirmed the complete destruction of Iran’s nuclear enrichment facilities after American military’s precision assault launched four days ago.
“It was so devastating, actually” stated Trump.
“It was really bad . . . They [the nuclear sites] were obliterated,” the US president further noted.
The American chief executive’s validation came as a result of circulating contradictory news and stories published by media firms, including US ones. Said publications either tell about the failure of the attack to crush the Iranian nuclear facilities or narrate the limited damage made to the targets.
Citing the statement from the Atomic Energy Commission of Israel, Trump read: “The devastating US strike on Fordow destroyed the site’s critical infrastructure and rendered the enrichment facility totally inoperable. We assess that the American strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities [have] set back Iran’s ability to develop nuclear weapons for many years to come. This achievement can continue indefinitely if Iran does not get access to nuclear material.”
The US president also presented Abu Dhabi’s word on the matter, which reported Iranian foreign ministry’s description of the wrecked nuclear sites. Trump read: “It’s [Iran’s] nuclear installations were very badly damaged by the American strike.”
On 21 June 2025, the US Central Command, under Trump’s order, rolled operation “Midnight Hammer,” a precision strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities situated in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, aiming to destroy Iran’s nuclear program. This assault was conducted to protect US interests, American soldiers, and the US’s longtime ally Israel.
Midnight Hammer was a 125-aircraft-plus-one-submarine mission, featuring an air-to-surface raid by US’s B-2 Spirit stealth bombers, with the assistance of fourth and fifth generation fighter jets, and a submarine. It was a surprise, sophisticated offense according to US military officials.
