You nailed it, MSMEs!
40 Filipino micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) held the spotlight as they showcased their remarkable products to the public at the OTOP Bazaar at Fisher Mall, Quezon City on 23 August 2024.
These Pinoy businesses, who hailed from different parts of the Philippines, allowed urban folks to experience the finesse of their passionately-crafted products. These commodities included corn snacks, preserved seafood, peanut butter, desserts, condiments, kitchenware, coffee, bags and purses, accessories, footwear, garments, and body-care topicals, among others.
Some localities from where these delights came were Ilocos Norte, Cavite, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Bataan, Laguna, Pangansinan, Bulacan, Valenzuela City, and Manila.
The OTOP Bazaar, organized by the Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion of the Department of Trade and Industry, and Fisher Mall, took place in two different batches of MSMEs and ran from 10 to 23 August 2024.
OTOP, an acronym of “one-town, one product”, is one of the flagship programs of the Department of Trade and Industry that aims to empower MSMEs by providing them entrepreneurial training, and by bringing their products and services to the national, even international market.
